Tissot-academy.ch is a game offered by Tissot SA to its staff and official agents.
The only people authorised to play are those who have obtained an invitation to take part including a user name and a password. Tissot staff at its headquarters in Le Locle are not allowed to enter the competition, nor are staff working for the Swatch Group-Italy, or in franchised boutiques, multi-brand boutiques or for official agents, whose sales outlets are situated in Italy.

“The basics” enable you to familiarise yourself with Tissot, by means of 6 subjects:
- Knowledge of the company (the brand and its history)
- Touch Collection
- The Basics of Watchmaking
- Customer Service
This programme is available throughout the year.
The competition is a challenge reserved for persons who have obtained the "The basics 2014-2015 season", certificate.
Endowed with many prizes, it is planned over a period of 2 months (see details hereunder).

Show your expertise on the "The basics 2014-2015 season", by scoring the minimum required points in each subject offered on the 3 levels of the game.
Once you have scored the minimum required points on the 3 levels, you will get a certificate of success, which can be seen on your profile. A printed certificate will be sent to everybody that has been certified for the first time.
To help you along the way, after each section, teaching resources are made available to you that help you to find the information relating to the questions you have not been able to answer.
All of the programmes’ teaching resources are available under the hearing ‘Training Resources’. This information will help you in answering the questions, and so to improve your score.
TISSOT establishes a system for rewarding its new certificate holders, throughout the year.
A draw takes place every 3 months for the participants who have obtained their “The Basics, 2014-2015 Season” certificate since the last draw.
The draw is done by means of a randomly chosen algorithm [NF2] and designates 10 winners with a maximum of 2 winners per market.
Prizes to win:
The 10 (ten) winners of the draw will each receive a TISSOT watch.
The winners selected during the draw will be informed by e-mail by TISSOT as soon as possible. If the winner does not announce himself with the 30 (thirty) days following the date of the e-mail, he/she will be considered as having renounced Forfeited his/her prize, which will remain the property of TISSOT.
Note, you may only take part once. You are not allowed to have more than one account.
TISSOT will be able to publish any winners’ details on, on its internet and/or extranet sites, including any other media platform, this will include the names of the winners and prizes. TISSOT also reserves the right to use the names, first names photographs, town and country of residence of the winners for additional publicity purposes. This will run for a period of 12 months from the announcement of the winners.
The winner must accept these terms and conditions. if not, he will not receive his/her prize. Participants must agree to any verification of their identity, age, postal address, occupation, employer’s name or the validity of any related information. Any false declaration, especially of identity or address, will result in the participant’s immediate elimination, and where applicable, the return or reimbursement of the value of any prize already awarded.
TISSOT reserves the right to replace any prize, which is unavailable, with another prize of equivalent value.
Prizes cannot be the subject of any complaint or dispute of any sort, nor be exchanged, nor be replaced by the payment of an equivalent value on the request of the winner.
1. CONDITIONS FOR USING THE SITE.
Tissot SA, a limited liability company with its headquarters at Chemin des Tourelles 17, 2400 Le Locle, Switzerland, hereafter called “the Company” is organizing a fun, educational game accessible on its web site www.tissot-acadamy.ch
(hereafter called “the Site”). The game consists in answering a series of questions in order to obtain a Certificate of Achievement.
The Site is intended for Company employees and official agents, as well as for colleagues in The Swatch Group SA, who have been invited to take part in the game, using a log in and a password, (hereafter called “the User”).
To participate in the game, the User must indicate his/her identity, family name, first name, valid e-mail address, postal address, employer, function, length of service, nationality. The objective of the site is to promote all of the products offered by the Company and to publish any information related to the present situation of the Company.
Access and the use of the Site are subject to the conditions stipulated hereafter. Use of the Site implies the unreserved acceptance on the part of the User of the current conditions of use and his/her undertaking to respect them. The conditions of use can be consulted on the Site at the time of registration of the User and at any time during the Game.
The Company advises users that the present conditions may be modified at any time and that the Company can take any measures that it judges appropriate with regard to their application and interpretation. Any changes will be published on the Site, and any user visiting the Site after their publication will be presumed to have accepted such modifications.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The whole site including all logos, commercial names or brands, such as, but not limited only to TISSOT, TISSOT + T, images, photos, graphic elements, computer data and databases making up the Site, or published on it, are the exclusive property of the Company, with the exclusion of any content specifically attributed to third parties, notably mentioned in the credits. The Site contents cannot be extracted, reproduced or used without the prior written authorization of the Company, under penalty of civil or criminal proceedings.
Users are authorized to reproduce the contents of the site purely for information purposes and in a strictly private context, unless advised to the contrary.
Every user must accept the present usage conditions, in order to use the “Tissot-academy.com” module.
3. LINKS TO OTHER WEB SITES
The Site may contain links to other web sites, for which the Company accepts no responsibility whatsoever. The Company has no control over these other web sites and so is not able to supervise or control their contents. It is the responsibility of each User to be informed of the commitments of every blog or site he/she visits. In particular, the Company has no control over the collection or handling of personal information, or the respecting of one’s private life. It is up to each User to be informed about the commitments of any blog or site with links to the Site, and to be careful only to use sites, whose contents and usage rules he/she accepts.
The Company accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any link on an external site that comes back to the Site. The Site cannot be considered to be associated with the site operating such a link, or its contents, unless expressly authorized by the Company.
The Company undertakes to update its site contents and systems regularly, in order to enable access to, and the use of, the Site under the best conditions for the user.
However, the Company cannot guarantee that the contents of the site are up to date, exhaustive, exact or complete. The Company recommends the user to verify the contents, particularly by means of contact data, before using them at any time. In any case, the Company declines any responsibility relating to any use the User may make of the contents, such use being limited to the provisions stipulated in the article entitled “intellectual property.”
In this context, the User should be fully aware that the contents of the Site are provided as indications only. In addition, the Company reserves the right to introduce modifications to the site at any time it considers appropriate, and so cannot guarantee the User permanent access to the Site, without interruption, in due time, in full security and without error.
It is pointed out that modifications can affect the nature or the extent of available services. The Company invites the User to verify its contents with a manager of the publication at the address mentioned above.
It is further pointed out that the Company cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience or damage caused to a User by the actions of a third party, who uses the information provided on the Site by unfair technical means.
The Company cannot be held responsible for any damage whatsoever stemming from the quality of the internet network and/or the technical configurations.
5. CHARTER FOR THE PROTECTION OF DATA AND PERSONAL PRIVACY
The purpose of this charter is to inform the User about information due to be collected and the use to which it can be applied. It also provides information about his/her rights regarding the personal data concerning him/her. The policy of respect for privacy includes respecting confidentiality of the personal data gathered by any form requesting personal information.
No personal data will be collected without the User’s knowledge. However, for the reasons mentioned earlier, the use and smooth operation of the “Tissot-Academy.ch” platform requires the registration of User data, failing which the User will not be able to access the effects announced by the Company.
The personal data that will be collected stem from your desire to take part in the various challenges of the “Tissot-academy.ch” platform, and will be handled according to the conditions mentioned hereafter in the validation of the form.
The Site presents a form relating to the platform:
the User must mention his family and first names, the name and address of the Company, his e-mail address, his sex, his function, his country of origin and his length of service with the Company.
The User data collected and saved will be used by the Company to:
- Send e-mails to the user about the Company or the Tissot Brand, its services, and each of the affiliates in the Swatch Group SA, as long as the User does not request to be delisted via the link available on the e-mail. Tissotfirstname.lastname@example.org
- Enable the Company to honour its legal obligations concerning online communications, notably with the legal authorities, during the legally prescribed period. It is pointed out that data handling is centralized at the Company’s Swiss headquarters. The data are collected and stocked directly by the Company. The data can be transmitted to other affiliated companies and affiliates of the Swatch Group SA, in so far as they have to do with their spheres of activity, as well as to the Site’s editing company, for the same above-mentioned conditions of use. Moreover, e-teach in its capacity as service provider, can access the data solely to ensure the smooth operation of the Site, and the smooth functioning of the “Tissot-academy.ch” platform and especially its visualization and publication by the User concerned.
- In respect of the current legislation and in particular the federal law on the protection of data (LPD) of 19 June 1992, in its final version, any User communicating his/her personal data mentioned via one of the above-mentioned forms can, at any time, access, modify, correct or suppress them.
Like many other internet sites, cookies can be used to collect and register information concerning the use of the Site.
7. ERRORS AND ANTI-FRAUD POLICY
The Company monitors the conduct of this competition and reserves the right to determine whether any of the results obtained do not reflect the actual performance of the participant, through the exploitation of design errors, fortuitous features and / or operational bugs due to the use of equipment in an inappropriate manner or by malicious intent / fraud in order to obtain an advantage over other players. We also endeavor to detect and prevent the use of any software that would enable any artificial intelligence device to play on the platform, including but not limited to fraudulent software or any other procedure which we believe gives the player an unfair advantage over other players who do not have access to such software ("AI software"). The player agrees not to use any AI software or any of these programs.
The user should immediately inform the Company of any error discovered on his/her account or within the context of any calculation of the results he/she has obtained while playing. In case of an error or system failure or anomaly in the game (any abnormal functioning of the game’s processes) leading to an error in the calculation of the scores or grading, we will make every effort to put all persons directly affected by the error back to the position they held immediately before the occurrence of the problem.
We reserve the right to declare null and void all games affected by the problem. Once an error has been used to gain an unfair advantage, we reserve the right to consider that such an act gives rise to the possibility of suspending the player or cancelling his/her access to the Site and/or undertaking any legal action deemed appropriate. In the above-mentioned cases, the company will adjust the results gained, without any obligation to provide justification or advise the participants.
8. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
These conditions of use are subject to Swiss Law and any litigation arising, especially concerning their application and interpretation, in the absence of an amicable solution, will go before the judge in the town of Tissot SA’s head office.
